October 2011!

Dressed in autumn!
As we do every year Nina, Zodd and I dedicated a morning to making a kekor out of colorful leaves and take some photos of Zodd, the Tibetan wonder :)
He was very pleased this year since we drove off in pursuit of the perfect leaves and the perfect spot for the photo shoot. Zodd is always up for an adventure, IF you manage to wake him up and get him into the car that is, haha ;)
I hope all of you have enjoyed this colorful and beautiful time of year as much as we have!

Roadtrip!
On the 15th of November Zodd and I left home for a long roadtrip, all the way to Norway. We went to visit our beloved Lucas, who's working on a project up in the woods of our neighbouring country (to put it simple he lowers pipelines for water and sewer into lakes).
Zodd and I decided to stop on the way up, to visit kennel Dom Khandro and we got a warm welcome!
Thank you so much Helene and Tom for inviting us into your beautiful home and for the great dinner, talks and most of all - thank you for letting Zodd meet your wonderful dogs!
He needed that break after several hours in the car and even more hours to come. I know he had a great time with your TMs and other dogs.

PLAYTIME!

"He's totally alright you guys! Let's play with him!"

"YIPPIE, a new friend!"

TM rumble! Ayla, Zodd and Athena!

This was a great sight for me. I'm not used to seeing more than one Tibetan Mastiff. I must say I could get used to this view ;)

Zodd felt right at home.

And the residents of Dom Khandro liked their visitor very much.

Athena fell in love with Zodd...

She tried very hard to charm him...

She flirted and smiled at him...

And was brave enough to give him a kiss on the cheek!

Athena and Zodd, so sweet together.

It was really nice to meet Athena. She's travelled a long way to end up at Dom Khandro's kennel here in Sweden, all the way from the USA actually.
Her father is from USA and her mother is from India. It's going to be very interesting to watch this girl grow up. She's still just a youngster. I must say she had the sweetest character! Such a soft and friendly girl.

We said our goodbyes to the entire pack at Dom Khandro and their two humans and then Zodd and I continued our long journey north. We drove for several hours, with a couple of short stops to stretch our legs and then finally arrived to the motel that would be our home for the upcoming week.
Our days in Norway were filled with walks in the woods, sitting by the lakes and contemplating life.
Zodd enjoyed this very much. That's his special skill after all.
He loved the fact that he didn't have to use a tiny bowl to drink from. He now had two big lakes to lower himself into and drink of the clear water to his heart's content ;)
Thank you Lucas for letting us crash your place!

Zodd's favorite spot at the jobsite!

It's exhausting to travel.

Handsome boy...

Keeping an eye on Lucas and his colleagues.

A close-up of Zodd's fur. Looks kind of surreal, doesn't it?

Colorful Norway!

"Ah, the smell of ladies in the morning!"

I bribed this mouse with some norwegian crumbs, so that he would pose for me. So cute!

I did some experiments with my camera...

Interesting results, but I need to work a bit more on my skills.

"I like Norway and all that, but when are we returning to Sweden? I miss my backyard...".
